Mijalkov was the director of secfet service of North Macedonia during the Gruevski’s regime. He is a cousin of Gruevski and also was involved in several high corruption cases. Unlike Gruevski, Mijalkov hasn’t escaped out of the country and all the time faces with the charges for misusing of his official. Under section 7031(c) of the Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2022.
